Stripe Processing
PetExec now offers the option to pass the Stripe credit card surcharge fees onto your pet owners. This new feature is available to all providers who are integrated with Stripe card processing. The applicable Stripe processing rates will be used for our US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand packmates.
If you are not integrated with Stripe card processing, please contact our support team via chat or techsupport@petexec.net for steps on how to get set up.
How it works:
Packmates can enable and disable this feature using an application preference within PetExec.
The following exclusions apply:
Debit card or prepaid transactions are excluded from credit card surcharge fees.
All transactions placed through the owner portal or mobile app.
Packmates in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico as surcharge fees are unavailable in those states.
PetExec recommends you notify your pet owners of your intent to add these processing fees to orders. Provided here are some recommended credit card fee notices that can be printed and posted in your business.
Packmates are responsible for following local, state, and federal laws applicable to credit card surcharges, such as providing adequate notice to your customers about the surcharge. PetExec shall not be liable or responsible if your business fails to comply with applicable laws. Please consult with your legal counsel if you have any questions.
